My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

The second preface of Easter Masses proclaims the joyous truth of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It states: "He has made us children of the light, rising to new and everlasting life. He has opened the gates of heaven to receive his faithful people. His death is our ransom from death, his resurrection is our rising to life."

The Good News of Easter is that Jesus will work a miracle in our lives on this very day and every day, if we will only open our hearts to His Easter blessing and power, to work in us and with us, for us and through us.

The story of Easter is that it opens God's wonderful window of divine surprise. God is full of surprises in His grace and goodness. We need to let ourselves into that divine window.
