HARVEY'S SIGNS - PRO-LIFE SIGNS

Dear Respect Life Coordinators and Friends of Life;

Seeds of Witness (S.o.W.) is a new initiative to get out the word on two vital pro-life pastoral programs, the St. Gianna Molla Pregnancy Care Center and Project Rachel.  We are asking for parish pro-life committees to each donate $200 (or more, if your committee can) to provide the seed monies to kick off the informational campaign.

The informational campaign will promote the two programs through the use of 1) reusable vinyl banners and lawn signs; 2) bumper stickers; 3) precious feet pins and 4) fliers and bulletin announcements.

The program is meant to be self-sustaining after the initial seed money donations.  Funds to replace and add new banners and lawn signs and purchase more bumper stickers and pins will be generated by sales of the lawn signs, bumper stickers and pins...MORE

Statement on 40 Days for Life

By: Bishop Richard J. Malone

The Forty Days for Life Campaign, is an ecumenical pro-life effort which has had several successful Spring and Fall campaigns here in Western New York.  They have consistently maintained a prayerful, peaceful presence while evangelizing and witnessing for life.

 Pope Francis has expressed his public support for the 40 Days for Life ministry that promotes respect for the lives of all unborn children, and says he greatly appreciates the dedicated work that they do in a “Culture of Waste.”

I affirm and encourage all pro-life efforts that attempt to reach the ultimate goal of eliminating abortion in order to build a culture of life using peaceful, prayerful, and charitable approaches, including the 40 Days for Life Campaign as they collaboratively work with our office at the Diocese of Buffalo.

Furthermore, I admire all those devoted to protecting human life and encourage all to continue to support pro-life activities, especially uniting with the many events sponsored by our Diocese, including the St. Gianna Pregnancy Outreach Center.  The center actively helps women, children and families supporting their decision to choose life.  This fall, as the need has increased, we have added additional services in the Northtown and Southtown areas and we need your continued support of the parishes and the community to continue to support life!

Thank you to all who have dedicated themselves and their time to the cause of life.  I am grateful for your pro-life support in our Diocese of Buffalo.  Let us continue, in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to be untiring in all our various attempts to defend life so that the right to life is enjoyed not just for some, but for all; born and unborn.

Sincerely in Christ,

Most Reverend Richard J. Malone, Th. D.
Bishop of Buffalo
