The Office of Worship recognizes that Liturgy, the work of the people, "is the outstanding means by which the faithful can express in their lives and manifest to others the mystery of Christ and the real nature of the true Church." (Constitution of the Sacred Liturgy, 2) The goal of the office is to promote and support "full, conscious and active participation of the faithful in the liturgy...their right and duty by reason of their baptism." (Cf.CSL,14)
