- Be sure to stop at---Rimrock Overlook: A
series of wooden steps and staircases lead to a
viewing area atop a large rock face overlooking the
arm of the Allegheny Reservoir above the Kinzua Dam.
A stairwell hewn through the rock face takes the
mildly adventuresome to the bottom of the rock face
for further exploring. This area is spectacular for
fall foliage viewing.
Directions to Rimrock:   At Quaker Lake, before entering Allegany State Park take Route 280 South. (Note: At PA State Line road changes to PA Route 346.) Turn RIGHT onto PA Route 321. Turn RIGHT onto PA Route 59. Watch for Allegheny National Forest Rimrock Recreation Area sign. Turn LEFT into Rimrock Rec Area. Travel down winding road to parking area. Steps to overlook at end of parking area.
