present Father Baker’s cause to further advance the
canonization process.
Motivational Activity:
Show how devotion to Father Baker and the cause for his canonization has
helped to further his work. Introduce
the process of canonization (see sheet). Instructional Steps:
1. Initiate a discussion of saintly traits
stressing that saints possess heroic-like qualities.
Make a list of suggestions from the students’ responses.
2.
Discuss whether or not they feel Father Baker possessed
these qualities. Have students refer
to specifics from his biography to support their views. 3.
Explain the process of canonization.
4.
Engage students in a discussion that allows them to generate ways in
which they can become actively involved in the effort to canonize Father Baker. Follow-Up Activities: 1. It has been said, "Saints are like stained glass windows. God shines through them in a special way." Color or construct stained glass windows with Our Lady of Victory or Father Baker as the theme. (See attachment for directions and picture outlines).

Write persuasive paragraphs to convince

Compose a prayer to Our Blessed Lady of Victory asking for her
intercession in the canonization of Father Baker.
4.
Make acronyms out of Father Baker’s name to demonstrate his saintly
qualities and great works.

be saints – to live our lives as Jesus did.
