Our overall mission is to provide
pastoral and educational resources for Central Buffalo parishes, African American Catholics and
Diocesan departments/agencies with an emphasis on African American Catholics and Culture.
Major functions include:

Workshops and seminars for all ages
including "Our Responsibility as Catholics Regarding Race Relations." |

Providing resource information to
Diocesan departments and agencies on methods for inclusion of African Americans in their
missions. |
|
Conduct and arrange for training
opportunities in evangelization, RCIA and catechists from a Black perspective |
|
Serving as a liaison to national
Black Catholic organizations and the New York State Catholic Conference. |
|
Coordination of the annual Dr.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Mass for the Diocese. |
