Canonical Administrator Named for South Buffalo Catholic School

Msgr. Theodore Berg, a retired priest of the Diocese of Buffalo, has been appointed canonical administrator of South Buffalo Catholic School.  A canonical administrator, among other things, is responsible for the Catholicity of the school and creating an environment where the Catholic school can thrive.

South Buffalo Catholic School includes Trinity Catholic Academy, 16 Hayden St., and Notre Dame Academy, 1125 Abbott Rd.

The New York Sate Board of Regents has approved the amendments to Trinity Catholic’s charter to create South Buffalo Catholic School.

Notre Dame Academy, a new school to open in September, was formed after the announced closing of St. Martin of Tours School, Buffalo; St. Bonaventure School, West Seneca; and St. Thomas Aquinas School, Buffalo.  Applications are being accepted at both Notre Dame Academy (824-0726) and Trinity Catholic Academy (822-4546) for the 2006-2007 school year.
