Family Life Mass Scheduled for Sunday

Msgr. David S. Slubecky, vicar general and moderator of the curia for the Diocese of Buffalo, will be the main celebrant at this year’s Celebration of Family Life Liturgy on Sunday, December 3, at St. Joseph Cathedral, 50 Franklin St., Buffalo. The 10:30 a.m. Mass is open to all members of the diocesan family. Members of the SS. Peter and Paul (Williamsville) Children’s Choir will begin singing at 10:15 a.m.

Today’s families are more varied than they were years ago. They consist of traditional, extended, inter-faith and inter-generational, as well as families with one parent, families with no children and a variety of other combinations.

Sunday’s special Mass is sponsored by the Office of Family Life Ministries, Central Buffalo Ministries, Hispanic Apostolate, Holy Name Society and the Office of Pro-life Activities.

Following the Mass, Msgr. Slubecky will bless families.
