“Friends of Camp TurnerHold Membership Drive

Camp Turner, located in Alleghany State Park and operating through the Diocese of Buffalo’s Youth Department, has been providing summer camping and recreation for more than 75 years.  With the guiding principle of “Honor God through the children confided in your care,” Catholic values are an integral part of the camping program.  Boys and girls from ages 8-15 learn valuable lessons in teamwork and sportsmanship, and develop friendships that will last a lifetime.

The Friends of Camp Turner, Inc., (FOCT) was formed in 1999 by a group of Camp Turner Alumni who share a goal of keeping the mission of Camp Turner alive and providing “camperships” to children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy a week at camp.

Through the generous support of its members, FOCT assisted 40 children in attending camp this past summer.  Camp Turner alumni (staff or campers) are invited to rekindle old friendships and assist a child in enjoying a week at Camp Turner by becoming a FOCT member.

For more information on joining FOCT, or to make a donation, visit the FOCT Web site at www.friendsofcampturner.org, or inquire at Friends of Camp Turner, Inc.; P.O. Box 51; Tonawanda, N.Y. 14150.
