Bishop Announces Clergy Appointments

Bishop Edward U. Kmiec, bishop of Buffalo, recently reappointed three priests to a third term of six years as pastor of their current parishes.

Msgr. Robert J. Williamson was reappointed pastor at St. Teresa of Avila, Akron, Msgr. John W. Madsen was reappointed pastor at St. Barnabas, Depew, and Father F. Norman Sullivan was reappointed pastor of Most Holy Redeemer Parish, Buffalo.

Bishop Kmiec also assigned Father Samuel J. Venne to be in residence at St. Stephen Parish on Grand Island with availability for ministry as needed.

Father Leszek Wiecaszek, SAC, has been granted priestly faculties for the Diocese of Buffalo. He is the director of the Infant Jesus Shrine in North Tonawanda.
