Realfaith TV to air in place of Christopher Closeup

The Diocese of Buffalo is pleased to announce the addition of Realfaith TV to its television lineup.  Aimed at teens, Realfaith TV features on-the-street interviews, in-studio discussion and music video relating the show’s topic.  The 30-minute show will air on cable outlets, PAX-TV, and reach as far as Dunkirk and Olean within the diocese.

The Christopher Closeup television series, a longtime program aired in the diocese, has ceased taping due to production and distribution costs, and will be replaced by Realfaith TV beginning in October.   All timeslots originally filled by Christopher Closeup will now be filled by Realfaith TV.  Specific air times and channels are listed in the Western New York Catholic, the monthly diocesan newspaper.

Realfaith TV, a product of the Diocese of Trenton, N.J, was recently named a 2007 Gabriel award winner.  The winning show, “Companioning a pregnant teen,” proved to be an excellent example of the show’s mission to reach out to teens and help them deal with current issues they face through a Catholic perspective.

The Realfaith TV production team consists of youth and adults from the Diocese of Trenton.
