Pauls Parchment Paper Turkey
18 lb. turkey washed and inside extras removed from cavity
Rub turkey with half a lemon and then place lemon inside the cavity
Place half an onion, peeled inside the cavity
In a small bowl place
2 2 ½ sticks butter, softened
salt, pepper to taste
Chop fresh sage, parsley and thyme and add to butter
Mix butter to combine seasonings
Rub butter over turkey
Wrap turkey in parchment paper. Saturate parchment paper
with oil. Place turkey in a roasting pan.
Cook 1/3 of the time at 500* 1/3
of the time at 400* and 1/3 of the time at 300* Remove from oven. Internal temperature should be 165* Let
turkey set 30 minutes before carving.
1 Ό cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. salt
Ύ cup sugar
2 eggs beaten
1/3 cup canola oil
1/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1 tsp. vanilla
½ cup
chopped walnuts
2 cups grated zucchini
Preheat oven to 350*
Spray one 9-inch loaf pan.
Combine dry ingredients. Squeeze
moisture from zucchini. Combine wet
ingredients in a separate bowl. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix
together. Scrape batter into loaf
pan. Bake for 1 hour until golden. Cool for 15 minutes. Remove from pan and put onto a rack.
Susan Cowans One Pot Thanksgiving Feast
2 or 3
Turkey Breast pounded thin
1 link turkey sausage cooked completely
2 pieces toasted Italian bread chopped into pieces
½ stick celery diced
½ red pepper diced
1/8 onion diced
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 sweet potatoes sliced in half lengthwise
2
apples, cored
A handful of cranberries sliced in half
½ carrot, sliced thin
2 ears of corn, halved and soak in water about 10 minutes or so.
2 3 small pkg. of Splenda
Sugar Free Maple Syrup
Pound the turkey breasts thin. Sprinkle with poultry seasoning. In a bowl add sausage, bread, celery,
pepper, onion, oil. Mix well. Top turkey with cooked sausage mixture. Roll up turkey and tie with string or use
toothpicks to keep closed. Place in a 9 x 9 glass-baking dish that has been
sprayed with non- stick cooking spray.
Slice
the sweet potatoes and place in baking dish with turkey. Drizzle potatoes with a little maple
syrup. Add corn to dish was well. Core apples and place in dish. In a small
bowl add cranberries, carrots, 2 pkgs. Splenda. Stuff apples with this mixture. Bake at 350* for about 60 75
minutes or until the turkey is cooked and apples and sweet potatoes are tender.
