PERMANENT DIACONATE
PROGRAM
Applicants to the program go through a
year of aspirancy that centers on taking and completing the
Foundations in Ministry program as well as participating in Days
of Prayer and Reflection. Upon acceptance into the program, the
candidate enrolls in either certificate or graduate studies at
Christ the King Seminary for the next four years. Spouses are
encouraged to participate in these classes as well. Additionally,
on the first weekend of each month from September through June,
candidates stay at the seminary from Friday evening through Sunday
afternoon for study, prayer and reflection. Following Ordination,
Deacons serve in the Ministries of the Word, of Liturgy and most
important of Charity. To keep up to date and to maintain a good
