PARISH NURSE EDUCATION PREPARATION FOR THE REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL NURSE

Sessions are held at Catholic Charities of Buffalo – 30 Rich Street – Buffalo, NY 14212

Dates: Next class starts September 9, 2006, September 9, September 23, September 30,  October 14, October 21 and October 27-28, 2006

Time: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for each class

Cost: $295.00

WINDOWS

A two-part (six-hour) Loss Education Program. Gives insight into ways a person can help oneself or another through the grief experienced from loss (divorce, death, etc.). Program can be given in a one day, six-hour format or two three-hour sessions or three two-hour sessions.

 

Cost: $5 per person

 

SURVIVING: A How to Series with Clayton Barbeau Videos

Consists of the following four sessions:

    1. Surviving Depression

    2. Surviving Anger: Yours and Others

    3. Surviving Grief

    4. Surviving Loneliness

LESSONS IN PASTORAL CARE

Various sessions exploring the Aging Process biblically and culturally; insight into the "tough" questions of suffering; developing communication skills necessary for ministry in various settings; church’s teaching on life issues.

ARRIVE AND WALK: A CHRISTINA GRIEVING GUIDE

A 4 part video program. Excellent presentations for a bereavement support group or for individual presentations on the following topics: Spiritually Mapping Our Losses; Regaining Our Balance; Healing Resources for Those Who Mourn; Devotions Which Bring Hope.

BROKEN BUT LOVED

A 4 part video program. Excellent presentation to be used during Lent, for Day of Recollection or a mini parish retreat. Topics are: Broken But Loved; Darkness in God: Brokenness of Jesus; I Am Broken; Jesus the Divine Savior.

CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING: THE KEY TO CATHOLIC IDENTITY

Presenter: Sr. Sharon Goodremote, FSSJ

Location: On site at parish or school (for faculties)
