Daybreak produces papal Mass video

Daybreak Productions, the television arm of the Diocese of Buffalo, produced a special video highlighting Western New York in welcoming Pope Benedict XVI to the United States .  The 90-second clip will be shown with videos from other dioceses prior to the papal Mass at Nationals Park in Washington , D.C. , on April 17.

Scenes of Catholic life in Western New York fill the Buffalo Diocesan video, as different ethnic communities young and old can be seen.  The Hispanic, African-American and Polish communities and heritage are recognized, as are two of Buffalo’s deceased but most-talked about religious figures, Msgr. Nelson Baker of Lackawanna and Sister Karen Klimczak, SSJ, of Buffalo.  The locations of Buffalo , Niagara Falls and the rural regions of the diocese are also featured.

The video begins with a welcome from Bishop Edward U. Kmiec, surrounded by employees at the Catholic Center in Buffalo .
