Buffalo Diocesan Liturgical Commission

The Buffalo Diocesan Liturgical Commission was founded in 1967. It serves as an advisory body to the local Bishop by making  recommendations, developing policies and programs and implementing approved liturgical guidelines.

Clergy, religious, and lay people with extensive background and experience in liturgy are appointed by the Bishop to the Liturgical Commission. The Commission also serves the People of God in the Diocese of Buffalo in the area of liturgical celebration, education and formation through its study of liturgy, music, art and architecture, and pastoral practice. It is also the charge of the Commission to help shape a vision of the future liturgical life in the diocese.

To schedule workshops, engage speakers, seek consultation, obtain printed materials or for any other assistance with liturgy please contact the Buffalo Diocesan Liturgical Commission through the Office of Worship. For day-to-day liturgical matters ask for the Director of the Office of Worship.
