Diocesan Youth Convention
Weekend conference in February for senior high youth and adult
chaperones. Liturgy, reconciliation, keynote speakers, workshops, award
presentations & dance.
Lights for the World
One day event in September for senior high youth and chaperones.
Liturgy, prayer, keynote speaker, and workshops.
National Catholic Youth Conference
Held every two years, participants from Western New York join thousands
of youth from around the country at NCYC.
Da'Bounce
An evening urban Catholic youth rally held each spring. Speakers, local
talent showcase, prayer and a dance.
Leadership
Christian Leadership Institute
Week-long youth leadership training program held at the end of June.
Diocesan Youth Board
Youth Board members assist the Youth Department in planning youth
ministry activities for the diocese. Each parish may nominate one young
person for the Board.
Diocesan Youth Retreat Team
Youth who want to share their faith can apply for this team that
facilitates peer retreats throughout the year.
Service and Justice
Young Christians at Work
Five-day program in which youth serve in the community, learn about
social justice and pray the liturgies of Holy Week.

Senior High Retreats
One day retreats in fall and spring for youth in grades 9-12.
Junior High Retreat
One day retreat in the spring for youth in grades 6-8.
Celebrating Diversity: Multicultural Retreat
One day retreat in November for senior high youth from all cultures.
Urban Confirmation Retreat
Overnight retreat for youth from city parishes who are preparing for
Confirmation.
Recreational Activities
Midsummer Charity Ball
Semi-formal dance in August; proceeds support Youth Department
Scholarship Fund.
Buffalo Bisons Games
Parish groups purchase discount tickets and enjoy the game! All ages
welcome!
