Event End Date:
January 19, 2024
Event Venue:
Washington D.C.

Join the Buffalo Diocese and hundreds of thousands of Catholics and others in solidarity for a pilgrimage of public witness, penance and prayer.
With Roe v. Wade being overturned (which allows more freedom at the state level to enact pro-life laws), the necessary work to build a culture of life in the United States is not finished; rather, it is focused differently. The goal of the national March for Life is to not only change laws at the state and federal level, but to change the culture to ultimately make abortion unthinkable.

All Saints’ Day

Event Start Date:
November 1, 2023
Event End Date:
November 1, 2023
Event Venue:

All Saints’ Day is a Holy Day of Obligation celebrated by the liturgical Church on November 1st. We turn to the saints, those known and unknown by the Church, as guides and models of holiness on this day.

All Saints Day originated in May 609, when Pope Boniface IV dedicated the Pantheon in Rome to the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the 8th century, Pope Gregory III changed the date to November 1 when he dedicated a chapel at the Vatican in honor of all the saints, and Pope Gregory IV later extended this celebration of all saints to the universal church.
