Brief Job Description: The Business Manager oversees the business and accounting operations of the Parish and School. Manages financial bookkeeping system and balances accounts, ledgers and reconciles bank statements. Prepares financial statements, budgets and reconciliation against budgets. Prepares and maintains all aspects of Human Resources associated with the employees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform general accounting functions for the Parish and School through the PDS accounting system.
• Work with the Bookkeeper on Parish and School Accounts Payable.
• Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statements, monthly closing reports and other reports to summarize financial position. vs. budget. This includes reviewing and explaining any major variances.
• Reconcile all bank accounts and investment accounts monthly.
• Provide financial information for Pastor, Principal and Finance Council
• Maintain records according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Maintain Parish and School files and records, including but not limited to: fixed asset inventories, leases, grants, contacts, insurance, closing statements, environmental modifications and other agreements.
• Accurately maintain all aspects of payroll associated with employees and payroll allocations by program.
• Act as administrator for Human Resources which includes all aspects of payroll associated with employees and fringe benefits.
• Prepare year-end financial statements and any necessary year-end required reporting.
• Address all necessary correspondence associated with these functions.
• Manage online parish contributions through VANCO
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor.

Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
• BS in Accounting/Finance
• Strong accounting background

Desired Skills:
• Familiar with PDS (Parish Data Systems) Ledger, preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs such as Word and Excel.
• Demonstrate distinguished record of honesty and integrity.
• Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of constituents orally and in writing.
• Familiar with information technology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Salary: $20-$25 per hour, depending on education and experience
