2026-27 School Year: Full-Time (or Part-time Junior High ELA Teacher)

Brief Job Description: Nativity of Our Lord School is seeking a passionate and experienced Junior High English Language Arts Teacher to join our faculty for the upcoming school year. The teacher will instruct students in grades 6–8 in reading, writing, grammar, and literary analysis, promoting strong communication skills and a love of literature in alignment with New York State and diocesan academic standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
● Design and deliver engaging ELA lessons for grades 6–8
● Teach reading comprehension, literary analysis, writing, grammar, and vocabulary
● Utilize a range of instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs
● Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments
● Foster a classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and respectful discussion
● Integrate Catholic values into daily instruction and classroom culture

Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
● Christian Values
● A Master’s degree with certification is preferred, but applicants with a Bachelor’s degree and other state certifications are also encouraged to apply.

Salary: $30,000-$32,000 annually
