Brief Job Description: Cardinal O’Hara is seeking a motivated and innovative Advancement Specialist to support the school’s philanthropic and engagement goals. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent college graduate who is passionate about the intersection of technology and philanthropy. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Advancement team, assisting with fundraising, alumni relations, and communications, with a specific focus on utilizing AI prompt engineering to enhance outreach and operational efficiency. While direct fundraising experience is not required, a strong desire to learn and a commitment to our school’s Catholic identity are essential.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
● Fundraising Support: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of the Annual Fund, special events, and other fundraising campaigns.
● Data Management: Help maintain the integrity of the donor database, ensuring accurate record-keeping and generating reports to track fundraising progress.
● Communications: Support the creation and distribution of departmental communications, including event invitations, impact reports, and marketing materials.
● Alumni & Community Engagement: Assist in creating and implementing strategies to engage alumni, parents, and friends of the school, fostering a vibrant and supportive community.
● Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support for the Advancement office to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required
● Proficiency in DonorPerfect and similar CRM systems, with a focus on data integrity, gift processing, and complex reporting.
● Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
● Skilled in digital channel management, encompassing both social media engagement and back-end web support.
● Demonstrable hands-on experience and proficiency in AI prompt engineering for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or workflow automation. Candidates may be asked to provide a portfolio or complete a practical exercise.
● Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
● A collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
● Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support Advancement events.
● A genuine commitment to the values of Catholic education and the specific mission of Cardinal O’Hara High School.
