Building and Grounds Maintenance Team

Brief Job Description: We are looking for a motivated individual who is willing to work in a large parish setting. This position includes routine cleaning as well as repair work, preventative maintenance, painting, general upkeep of the parish grounds and assisting as needed for event set ups. A pleasant and positive attitude while working with volunteers, parishioners, students and other staff members is essential. This is generally a 8 am – 4 pm Monday – Friday position. Hours and days may fluctuate due to event coverage needed or weather / emergency situations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Routine Cleaning
• Assisting with repair work, preventative maintenance tasks
• Painting
• Upkeep of parish grounds including snow blowing and grass cutting

Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
• Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and carpentry
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, sometimes more

Desired Skills:
• Ability to work with outdoor maintenance equipment, as well as power tools if needed.

Salary: $17-$19 per hour, based on experience
