Building and Grounds Maintenance Team

Brief Job Description:  We are looking for a motivated individual who is willing to work independently in a small parish setting. This position includes routine cleaning as well as repair work, preventative maintenance, painting, general upkeep of the parish grounds and assisting as needed for event set ups. A pleasant and positive attitude while working with volunteers & parishioners is essential. This is generally 12-15 hours a week (daytime) position. Hours and days may fluctuate due to event coverage needed or weather / emergency situations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Routine Cleaning – floor maintenance including mopping and vacuuming
• Simple repair work, preventative maintenance tasks
• Trash and snow removal
• Small event set ups
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
• Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and carpentry
• 2-5 years prior janitorial or maintenance experience
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

•This position may grow into a multiple site (floating) position that would expand to full time, or additional opportunities within our Light of Christ Family of parishes.

Salary: $17-$19 per hour, based on experience
