Cemetery Attendant

Brief Job Description: To assist with all aspects of cemetery maintenance and burials

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Grounds maintenance to include mowing, trimming, weeding & snow removal;
Assist with preparation of graves & burials
General labor & building maintenance

Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
• 18 years of age
• Valid NYS Driver’s License
• Must be able to bend, sit, stoop, squat, lift 75 lbs and work in inclement weather

Desired Skills:
• Previous landscaping experience helpful
• Must be able to operating walking/riding mowers
• Must be able to operate hand tools and small equipment
• NYS Pesticide 7a license helpful

Salary: Starting rate $18.75/hr (Union Shop)
