Job description: The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general upkeep and oversight of the Parish and School property. This person will also coordinate and assist ministry leaders, school leaders and volunteers in various special projects.

This position is Monday – Friday from 12pm – 4pm, occasional changes with events or unexpected projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• General oversight of buildings and grounds maintenance, ensuring safe, clean and proper order of the facilities.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment, HVAC systems, electrical systems.
• Conduct daily walk-through of grounds inside and out to ensure proper upkeep is being maintained.
• Keep a record of regular maintenance done on buildings and grounds.
• Review and inspect daily. all utility, mechanical and security functions for the facility and correct deficiencies or schedule necessary repairs.
• Work with the Pastor, Business Manager, School Principal to identify major projects and formulate a course of action.
• Order and maintain supplies for cleaning, maintenance, and repairing buildings/grounds.
• Plan and implement seasonal grounds maintenance, equipment needs and repairs.
• Operate heating and cooling equipment and ensure proper settings for events.
• Offer support to groups using the Parish and School facilities for social and school events for set up, tear down and cleanup after events.
• Manage keys for the facilities and maintain key logs.
• Ensure church security and lock/unlock facilities for services and events.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Pastor, Business Manager and School Principal.

Experience:
• 5 years work experience with various segments of facility maintenance.
• Skills/Ability to repair HVAC and Boiler Systems a plus.
• Skills/Ability to do general repairs.
• Proficiency in word processing and email.
• Posses inter-personal skills to communicate and work with various personnel.
• Understand and appreciate the Catholic Faith and it’s relationship to the worker.
