Housekeeper/Cook

Website St. Anthony Oratory & St. Philip Neri House

Brief Job Description: We are looking for general housekeeping help and someone who is efficient and good at cooking; we are not picky eaters! If you are an expert at a particular ethnic cuisine, that is great, though we would like occasional variety. We have a professional cleaning service that comes once every two weeks, so the cleaning responsibilities are mitigated.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Making sure the clergy have a meal for every weekday. A fresh meal should be provided on Mon, Wed, Fri. Tuesday and Thursday they can eat leftovers. Friday has to be a no meat meal. Ideally, there is a little bit of leftovers or sandwich supply for weekend.
· Managing the weekly staff lunch (can be ordered out).
· Keeping the fridges, pantry, and bathrooms stocked.
· Making sure the bathrooms are kept clean, that the house is regularly dusted and vacuumed.
· Keeping the kitchen and pantry are clean, neat, and organized.
· Working with the clergy as needed. Sometimes there might be organizational tasks.

Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
· Previous experience is not absolutely required, though encouraged (being a mom for a long time counts!). We just want someone who can cook and clean at a decent and effective pace since the job is hourly.
· Roman Catholic in good standing.

Desired Skills:
· Efficient and good cook.
· Flexible, adaptable to changing circumstances (like the number of people, date changes, or dietary restrictions), easy to work with.
· Organized.
· Good communicator.
· Trustworthy.
· Desire to serve the Church by ministering to her clergy.

Salary: $18/hr for 20-40
