Brief Job Description: St. Amelia School, a vibrant and faith-filled Catholic school community, is seeking a qualified and mission-driven Inclusion Specialist for the 2025-2026 academic year. This full-time position supports student learning across grade levels by co-teaching in both ELA and Math classrooms and by providing targeted academic interventions as needed. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree leading to a Master’s degree and have New York State certification in Students with Disabilities (Special Education), preferably certification in Elementary Education as well.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to co-teach and support inclusive instruction in ELA and Math across various grade levels
• Design and deliver academic interventions to students who require additional support
• Assist with progress monitoring, data collection, and instructional adjustments based on student needs
• Contribute to the development of Academic Intervention Services (AIS) other specially designed instruction
• Promote differentiated instruction and inclusive practices that honor the dignity and unique abilities of every student
• Foster a nurturing, respectful classroom environment aligned with Catholic values and the mission of St. Amelia School
Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
• New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities (1–6 or equivalent)
• Experience with co-teaching, small group instruction, or academic intervention preferred
