Intermediate School Teacher

Position Overview: Queen of Heaven Catholic School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and faith-filled Intermediate Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that promotes academic growth, spiritual development, and a love of learning while supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities:
• Teach first grade students in alignment with school and diocesan curriculum standards
• Develop engaging lesson plans in core subject areas including reading, language arts, math, science, religion, and social studies
• Foster a positive, respectful, and faith-centered classroom environment
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and developmental needs of students
• Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom activities
• Assess and monitor student progress through a variety of instructional methods and assessments
• Maintain regular and professional communication with parents regarding student progress, classroom expectations, and academic or behavioral concerns
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school programs and student success
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, school activities, and faith-based events, including after school and evening activities

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required
• Valid teaching certification preferred
• Practicing Catholic preferred, but all qualified candidates supportive of the school’s Catholic mission are encouraged to apply
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience teaching elementary students preferred

Salary and Benefits:
Salary begins at $37,600 and is based on a union contract. Benefits include health insurance, professional development opportunities, and paid time off. The 10 month contract starts on September 1st and runs through August 31st.
