Maintenance Supervisor

Brief Job Description: This position will oversee the buildings and grounds of the parish campus. This will require being involved in a variety of semi-skilled manual labor projects, working with vendors to resolve problems and managing resources available to the maintenance department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• The scope of work will involve the Parish church, community room, offices, rectory and the school – buildings and grounds
• Source, contact and engage vendors (eg. snowplow company, exterminators, plumbers, electricians) when needed to take care of tasks on campus
• Involvement will be required in the following areas:
o Fire safety
o Defibrillator inspection
o Security systems
o Maintenance
o Grounds (all seasons)
• Works with vendors or works on carpentry, plumbing, painting, mechanical etc.
• Operate power tools and hand tools as needed
• Checks the operating of heating and cooling systems
• Monitors safety hazards and takes remedial action
• Maintains supply/inventory as well as the workroom

Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
• High school education and work experience

Desired Skills:
• Self-motivated
• Patient when working through change
• Ability to work independently
• Attention to detail and deadlines

Salary: $20 – $24 based on experience
