Middle School/High School Math and Science Teacher

Brief Job Description: The primary purpose of this position is to teach subjects/grades for which one is certified or prepared to teach by extensive study, research and rich experience. Teachers are responsible for the welfare and safety of the students under their supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities
● Teach Mathematics and Science to students in:
○ A multi-age middle school classroom
○ A small 9th–10th grade high school cohort
● Teach additional subject areas as assigned, based on strengths and school needs
● Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that meets the needs of students at varying academic levels
● Use a variety of instructional strategies, including hands-on learning, problem-based instruction, and technology-enhanced lessons
● Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and families
● Collaborate with faculty to support cross-curricular learning and student growth
● Foster a classroom environment that supports academic excellence, faith formation, and positive student relationships
● Support the continued development and growth of our high school program
● Promote and embody Christian values and virtues in keeping with the magisterial teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.

Additional Teaching & School Responsibilities
● Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
● Communicate effectively with parents, administration, and colleagues
● Uphold and model the values and mission of Catholic education

Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
● Experience teaching middle school and/or high school Math and Science is preferred
● Comfort and confidence teaching in a multi-age classroom setting
● Ability to adapt instruction for small class sizes and individualized learning
● Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
● Supportive of the mission and values of a Catholic school (practicing Catholic is not required but preferred).
