Middle School Science Teacher

Position Overview: Queen of Heaven Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, dedicated, and engaging Middle School Science Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will foster academic excellence, inspire curiosity about the natural world, and support the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities:
• Teach middle school science courses, including Earth Science, in alignment with state and diocesan curriculum standards
• Create engaging lesson plans, labs, and hands-on learning experiences
• Foster a positive, respectful, and faith-centered classroom environment
• Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and interactions
• Assess and monitor student progress using data to meet the needs of all students
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school programs and student success
• Participate in school events, faculty meetings, professional development, and faith activities, including after school and evening activities
• Maintain regular and professional communication with parents regarding student progress, classroom expectations, and academic or behavioral concerns

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field required
• Valid teaching certification preferred
• Practicing Catholic preferred, but all qualified candidates supportive of the school’s Catholic mission are encouraged to apply
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Experience teaching middle school students preferred

Salary and Benefits:
Salary begins at $37,600 and is based on a union contract. Benefits include health insurance, professional development opportunities, and paid time off. The 10 month contract starts on September 1st and runs through August 31st.
