Brief Job Description: This position supports the accounting department for 6 cemetery offices and includes journal entries, reconciliations, analysis and reporting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Accounts Payable – coding invoices, entering, preparation of checks
• Accounts Receivable – daily cash receipts/bank deposits
• Management of fixed assets in financial software
• General ledger journal entries & reconciliation of internal accounts
• Assist with month-end closing, budget and audit
Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
• Associate’s degree in accounting
• Three years’ experience in general ledger accounting
• Experience with accounting software
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of basic financial & accounting principles
• Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
• Ability to work on several different projects simultaneously
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Proficient with information technology
Salary: Starting $23/hr
