Christmas Eve 2023

This year, Christmas Eve is on a Sunday, however, it does not fulfill the obligation to attend Sunday. There are two days of obligation, Sunday and Christmas, meaning each separate obligation needs to be filled by attending separate Masses.

How can this be fulfilled?

1. You can attend a Sunday Vigil Mass AND a Christmas Day Mass.
2. Sunday morning AND Sunday evening, at night (Midnight Mass) or Monday during the day.
3. Saturday evening AND Sunday evening, Midnight, or Monday during the day.
