Marian Consecration

Why & How | Consecration Prayer | Evening Live Stream | Morning Live Stream | PDF of 33 Days to Morning Glory | WLOF 101.7 FM| Formed

Consecration to Mary is a spiritual exercise through which we receive graces to strengthen our Catholic spirituality and our ability to better serve Jesus and His Church. When we participate in Marian Consecration exercises, we strive to follow Mary’s example — her willingness to say “yes” to God’s will and to trust in God’s purpose and plan for her — while rece-iving graces to dedicate ourselves totally to Christ in a way that consecrates us to Him. One of the goals of Consecration is a renewed spirit of evangelization that opens our hearts to a closer personal relationship with Jesus through Mary’s help. People in every age have found that Marian Consecration brings them closer to God in a profound way.

Read Bishop Scharfenberger's Invitation Letter

To aid us in preparing for Consecration, Bishop Scharfenberger recommends the book 33 Days to Morning Glory (see special discount information below) by Fr. Michael E. Gaitley, MIC, which includes the works of St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximilian Kolbe, Blessed Mother Teresa, and Pope St. John Paul II. The daily reading takes only 3-5 minutes and then is pondered during the rest of one’s day. The 33-day preparation can be done alone or in a group. Please take note of the following important dates:

  • Tuesday, December 31st: Start of the Marian Consecration
    • To participate in the Consecration at home you can follow us on Facebook or pray along with a live stream in the evening (7pm) with St. Mary of the Angels, or in the morning (7am) with Pray, Hope, and Don't Worry Facebook page. You can also listen along on WLOF 101.7 FM on the iCatholic Radio app everyday at 7:00 am.
    • If your parish is connected with Formed, you will be able to follow along on the app.
  • Sunday, Feburary 2nd: Special Culminating Celebration
