Serving those who serve others
Pastoral Ministries
Cultural Diversity
The Office of Cultural Diversity is committed to serve and address the pastoral and spiritual needs of the various cultural communities of the Diocese of Buffalo.
We are focused on bridging the gap between those in the mainstream culture and those who feel marginalized from the church because of ethnic or cultural divisions.
Sacramental & Family Life
The Office of Sacramental & Family Life mission is to reflect caring concern and a compassionate pastoral presence for families in all dimensions, be it traditional families, blended families, single-parent families, international families, single persons, those adopted, disabled, or those hurting and suffering.
Pro Life
The Office of Pro-Life advocates for the sacredness of all human life from conception until natural death, and responds to threats to life. It is our hope to build a “Culture of Life” that respects and protects all life, particularly the most vulnerable – the unborn, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and the terminally ill.
Worship
The Office of Worship is a resource for parishes and ministers in the planning of liturgical celebrations and ceremonies. It is the responsibility of this office to oversee the liturgical normals and policies of the diocese.
In addition, it assists parishes with formation of its members in various ministries such as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, lectors and music, as well as providing information in other areas of liturgy.
