Packaged Program Options
Are you looking to use a pre-planned program for your youth nights or faith formation gatherings for middle or high school? Check out this list of resources available. Please keep in mind if you are using these for your formal faith formation, you must be sure to use them in conjunction with the Diocesan Curriculum. There is not a one-size-fits-all as each parish and program is different. Please contact us if we can assist you in any way.
Lifeteen/Edge are programs/curriculum resources parishes can subscribe to use for high school and middle school youth. Some parishes use this as their faith formation and others use it for optional gatherings. Their teen-oriented website is www.lifeteen.com, where you can access blogs and social media resources and their adult ministry website is www.catholicyouthministry.com. If you interested more in becoming a LifeTeen Parish, contact our office and we can direct you to the local coordinator.
This program offers several options that can be purchased in a bundle or individually, including a 4-year series of lesson plans, weekly Scripture reflections, and Confirmation prep materials.
The Center for Ministry Development provides training and resources for pastoral youth ministry leaders. Several training materials on their site can be accessed for free. Youth Ministry Access is a subscription service through the Center for Ministry Development, which gives you access to a vault of lesson plans, activities, and prayers that have been developed and submitted by others like you from throughout the country. Members can search by topic, season, etc. Parishes in the Diocese of Buffalo receive a special discount to YM Access. Please contact our office to receive the offer code.
Chosen: Your Journey Toward Confirmation is a twenty-four-lesson program from Ascension Press that provides materials to prepare your students both intellectually and spiritually to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and to become lifelong disciples of Christ. Chosen's carefully designed methodology features engaging material conveyed through videos, student workbooks, and classroom experience. Guides for leaders, parents, and sponsors, as well as additional online resources, are included.
Theology of the Body for Teens is a dynamic faith formation program for teens and pre-teens in Catholic schools, parish youth ministries, Religious Education, Confirmation, and homeschool settings. Using a great mix of stories, real-life examples, activities, prayers, and relevant references to the culture, it goes beyond traditional chastity programs by connecting the two hottest topics on the planet--God and sex.
