Join your friends in faith for an incredible high-energy indoor cycling experience at Rebel Ride (6499 Transit Road, East Amherst, NY 14051) to benefit The Mother Teresa Home! Networking at 5pm. Cycle class starts at 6:00pm. Afterparty with refreshments 6:45pm-7:30pm. $30 Donation to reserve your bike. All proceeds to be donated to the Mother Teresa Home, which provides shelter, community service, and education referral services for all mothers in need.

Martin Luther King Mass 2023

The diocesan African American Commission and the Office of Cultural Diversity will sponsor the annual Martin Luther King Memorial Mass & Scholarship Award on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 9:30 a.m., at St. Martin de Porres Parish in Buffalo.

Bishop Michael W. Fisher will be on hand to celebrate this year’s Mass and help present the Albert Lenhard Scholarship and MLK Scholarship. Father Avery Daniel, parochial vicar of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Athens, Georgia, and St. Catherine Labouré Church in Jefferson, Georgia, will be the guest homilist.

A reception featuring a basket raffle and 50/50 split raffle will be held following the Mass. The proceeds from the raffles support the MLK scholarship fund.

Saint Bernadette Hosts Inclusive Christmas Mass On Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 7 p.m., Saint Bernadette Church welcomes families with special needs to an inclusive Christmas Mass. Father Joe Wolf, celebrant, will offer the
Sacrament of Reconciliation at 6 p.m. The Mass will be interpreted in American Sign Language and will be live-streamed on Saint Bernadette’s facebook page. After Mass, a reception will be held in the Parish Ministry Center. The Mass offers a shorter, less crowded worship setting allowing for freedom of movement as needed. The lighting will be dimmer, the music soothing and low-gluten hosts will be available. This event is sponsored by Open Doors Ministry which advocates for the inclusion of people with disabilities into the life of the parish.
