WHO WE SERVE
Families

Catholic Schools
Families of all faiths who have chosen the Catholic schools of the Diocese of Buffalo have discovered outstanding education, leadership and spiritual guidance for their children — a tradition since 1847. We believe in educating mind, body and soul in a caring, nurturing and safe environment.

Baptism
Baptism is the first sacrament and the gateway to life in the Spirit. Each of the other sacraments builds on the grace of Baptism. Through Baptism, a person becomes a member of the Church and a disciple of Jesus.

RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) process is for adults who are looking to be confirmed in the Catholic faith. It is the Church’s way of assisting individuals through their conversion to Catholic Christianity or to full initiation into the Catholic Church.

The Sacraments

For the Bereaved
Grieving the death of a loved one can be a long and painful journey. There is no time table for the mourning that one feels. Grief work is the process that involves learning to live with the emptiness, creating meaning out of the loss and rejoining life to live more openly and fully. There are a number of grief support groups throughout the diocese.

For the Separated & Divorced
Separation and Divorce are very painful situations and best not traveled alone. The Church is here to offer support and walk with you as you navigate this difficult chapter in your life.
